guide-U is currently employed at a wide range of sites around the world, from Les Arts Decorative in Paris and Sydney Opera House, to Guinness Brewery in Dublin, BMW Welt in Munich, Germany, and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas.

This wireless tour guide system comprises a choice of receiver headphones (traditional or around-the-ear), which are worn by visiting guests, and a choice of easy-to-use Phonak speech transmitters and accompanying chargers.

A public area transmitter, the TX300V, is also available, allowing guide-U to be permanently installed in public venues such as theatres and houses of worship.

guide-U system features:

- Dynamic Speech Extractor technology
Optimized for use with guide-U's sturdy presenter boom-mic, this technology provides industry-leading speech sound quality, even in noisy environments like factories and tourist hot-spots.

- Interactive group discussion
Guests and additional presenters can join the conversation by simply broadcasting their comments to the group using additional transmitters such as Phonak’s new passaround mic.

Why use an audio guide system?

- What is heard reinforces what is seen, leading to more memorable visitor experiences

- High speech intelligibility, even in noise, means guests find it easier to concentrate

- Conversely, if the environment is quiet, tours can be conducted without unnecessary noise and disturbance to others.
