Hearing protection with communication
Phonak offers two Serenity in-ear hearing protection systems with built-in headsets for phone and professional radio use. Suitable for all users and sound environments, these systems include passive (static) and active ('dynamic') solutions, both of which are available with custom-molded or generic ear shells.

Serenity SPC
This static in-ear hearing protection system features an integrated communication headset and has been designed for use in the most demanding constant-noise environments.
Serenity SPC’s changeable acoustic filters attenuate (dampen) the surrounding noise, while the headset‘s goose neck microphone and loudspeaker slot securely into either one of the eShells’ earJacks, ensuring day-long comfort and uninterrupted protection, even during phone calls.

Serenity DPC
This hearing protection radio system combines the level-dependent attenuation offered by Serenity DP with integrated radio communication, making it suitable for challenging environments in which loud noise fluctuates but crystal clear communication is always required.
Such environments include special intervention and rescue situations, shooting arenas, airports, mines, heavy industrial plants and more.

primero DPC
primero DPC is Phonak’s breakthrough boomless radio headset with dynamic (active) hearing protection, designed for use in the very loudest environments.
The primero in-ear voice pick-up headset uses a tiny microphone situated within the earJack and an innovative signal processing algorithm to pick up the user’s voice from inside the ear canal.
The DPC earJack slots into Phonak’s clinical nylon eShells (which sit comfortably in the user’s ears) and is responsible for measuring the surrounding noise and then adapting primero DPC’s attenuation (sound dampening) accordingly. In quiet situations this 'dynamic' or 'active' hearing protection means the primero DPC user retains full ambient awareness, and when noise levels increase above 85 dB the user’s hearing remains fully protected.
The result of this combination of technologies? primero DPC users can enjoy normal radio communication - without the physical hassle of a boom mic - in noise levels of up to 115dB (the same volume as the very loudest rock concert). Further hearing protection also applies should louder impulse noises such as shots or crashes occur.

Condor Serenity DPC system
Serenity DPC is a dynamic (or 'active') hearing protection system with built-in communication functionality, making it ideal for noisy situations in which full ambient awareness and accurate communication are essential.
Serenity DPC and Condor are perfectly suited to use by quick-response teams such as SWAT, rescue and emergency service groups, as well as groups of industrial staff working in very noisy environments.
