New generic ear shells boost comfort and durability
Phonak has re-engineered its generic (universal fit) ear shells to provide hearing protection customers with enhanced comfort and in-ear stability.
Phonak’s one-size-fits-all generic ear shells work with most Serenity hearing protection systems (and Primero DPC+) to offer temporary and part-time workers instant protection without the need for custom fitting.
The new versions of Phonak’s generic ear shells are now black rather than beige and offer several features and benefits:
• Softer silicone for increased comfort
• New ‘concha retention’ for improved hold in the ear
• Clearer left/right ear identification
• Sleek one-piece look (when attached to earJack)
“With these re-engineered generic shells we can provide at-risk temporary and part-time users with even greater comfort and in-ear stability, ensuring they have the confidence to keep their protection in, and therefore stay safe,” said Evert Dijkstra, managing director of Phonak Communications.
The price of these re-engineered generic shells remains the same and existing customers who re-order generic shells will automatically receive these new versions.
Note: quoted attenuation values for Serenity DP+, Serenity DPC+ and Primero DPC+ hearing protection systems with generic ear shells remain the same.
