Is it possible that the hard material in the ear causes head aches and pression?
Answer:
No, because the mould is individual and custom-made to the ear and manufactured with a perfect accuracy in shape.

How do you clean Serenity?
Answer:
With lukewarm water and soap or in the washing machine at max. 60 °C. After cleaning dry the ear moulds completely (e.g. over night) or using a fan or compressed air.

How long takes the casting of the ear?
Answer:
Approx. 6 minutes per person.

How often must hearing protection be replaced, resp. how long can hearing protection be used?
Answer:
Serenity is particularly resistant to mechanical and chemical stresses and can be worn from 3 to 5 years. By regular and individual measurements of attenuation performance, their expected life-span can even be extended.

From which material Serenity is made of?
Answer:
Serenity hearing protection is manufactured from clinical nylon in a special eShell process (Selective Laser Sinthering).
Question:
What is the advantage of nylon against other materials?
Answer:
Clinical nylon is biocompatible, very resistant to machanical, chemical and thermal stresses and extremely lightweight (approx. 1/3 compared to acrylic or silicone). This material is also used in medical devices' trade.

Is Serenity suitable for the food industry?
Answer:
Serenity is fully detectable and can be easily found in any food product. Therefore this hearing protection is highly suitable for food industry.
Question:
What is an in-situ measurement?
Answer:
In-situ measurement is a measurment of acoustic attenuation performance with PAC system (Phonak Attenuation Control System). It is an objective control of the actual attenuation performance with mounted hearing protection (in-situ) for the individual user. This measurement is exclusively provided by Phonak in the field of otoplastic hearing protection. A further advantage for company doctors or professional organisations is that the measuring results are documented.

With the Shell ID (is marked on Serenity ear mould, the pocket and joined with the product documentation) an identical copy of the mould can be ordered worldwide by phone or by email.
